How to design your .pdf files to make a cut-out shape on paper

Whether you want to make a cutting shape on your cards, leaflets, flyers, folder with flaps or your packaging (cases, boxes, boxes, etc.) please respect the important points corresponding to the existing cutting shapes and the custom cutting shapes by your care related to the printing profession before sending us your files.

Upon receipt of your order, our teams will check your print and cut files to ensure that they match your configuration and that they can be processed without delays or errors.

The cutting form is a flat cookie cutter (or template or matrix) in the format of your support. It is carried out with a laser in blades (or nets) of cutting steel, or not (for creasing for example) and incorporated on a wooden or plexiglass support.

EXISTING CUT SHAPE

The size (excluding bleeds and cutting lines) of your .pdf file must correspond to the template of the cutting form.

On our website, we offer you a multitude of existing cutout shapes that you can use for free. Located at the bottom of the product description, you can download the template.

In your graphics software, you will see the lines of the cutout shape that will be added in an additional layer so that you can see the dimensions.

Attention: do not modify the cutting path and do not forget to make this layer invisible before converting your file into PDF ready for printing.

Provide a quiet area: no logo, text or visually important elements within 1 cm of all edges of the document.

CUSTOM CUT SHAPE

When creating your custom cutting form it is imperative to create a file in addition to the file to be printed by putting in Pantone and overprinting red lines for cutting them and blue for creasing.

Attention: do not modify the cutting path and do not forget to make this layer invisible before converting your file into PDF ready for printing.
